Super Mario Odyssey Slots Locations

Earn extra Power Moons and follow the travails of the Desert Wanderer as he explores the many fanciful kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey.

This humble dweller of Tostarena Town wants to see the big, wide world — and he doesn’t have a hat-shaped flying machine like Mario. Instead, he settles for a taxi. How does the taxi reach kingdoms on the other side of the ocean? Your guess is as good as our’s.

Like Princess Peach and other explorers, the Desert Wanderer will appear in a series of locations. You’ll want to make a quick pit-stop and find him for the bonus Power Moon collectibles he provides, and to simply enjoy his little side-story. Here’s where to find him.

Super Mario Odyssey is a platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017. An entry in the Super Mario series, it follows Mario and Cappy, a sentient hat that allows Mario to control other characters and objects, as they journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to forcibly marry her. The Crumbleden (ホロビア lit. To be Ruined/Destroyed?), also known as A Grim reminder of Past Conflict, is a location that appears in Super Mario Odyssey. It is somewhat based off the real world city of Pripyat, as can be extrapolated from its barren look. It's the capital city of the Ruined Kingdom. 1 Description 2 Quick Facts 3 History 3.1 Super Mario Odyssey 4 Power Moon locations 4.1.

The Desert Wanderer won’t start, ahem, wandering until after you’ve defeated the Sand Kingdom boss and freed the desert from an chilly predicament. When the giant blocks of ice are gone, the taxi driver will appear in Tostarena Town, and the Desert Wander’s journey will begin.

Sand Kingdom

  • Desert Wanderer #1: The first location for the Desert Wanderer is right outside Tostarena Town. Go for a return trip and talk to the Sand Kingdom NPC — he’ll make his next destination pretty obvious.

Metro Kingdom

  • Desert Wanderer #2: Again, defeat the boss and return to the Metro Kingdom when the area is sunny. The Desert Wanderer is beside his taxi, near the Odyssey landing zone.

Cascade Kingdom

  • Desert Wanderer #3: No bosses to defeat this time. You’ve already got the job done! From the Odyssey, run towards the Crazy Cap store to find the tourist next to his taxi.

Luncheon Kingdom

  • Desert Wanderer #4: Next stop — the festival in the Luncheon Kingdom. Warp to the Central Plaza flag and these two are impossible to miss.

Moon Kingdom

  • Desert Wanderer #5: Take a trip to the Moon Kingdom when you’re done enjoying the sights and implied-smells of the Lunchon Kingdom. From the Odyssey, swivel left to spot the Desert Wanderer’s taxi near a mess of NPCs from every other level.

New Donk City, a large city at the heart of the Metro Kingdom, is one of the many visitable kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey. On their quest to stop Bowser’s diabolical wedding between him and Princess Peach, Mario and Cappy find themselves in the massive metropolis — which is overrun with problems.

Between a monster sapping the city’s power and Bowser’s minions infesting the city, there is plenty to take care of before the duo can pursue Bowser to the Bowser Kingdom. Help Mayor Pauline restore the city’s power and plan the famous New Donk City festival in order to advance to the next kingdom.

Looking for every Power Moon in “the city that never leaps?” Try this guide and you’ll be in the pursuit of Bowser before you know it!

Restore the City’s Power

When Mario lands in the Odyssey, he meets Mayor Pauline on a rooftop who says there is a creature sucking the power out of city’s power grid. A heavy storm blankets the city, and large groups of bugs can be found in every dark corner.

A massive monster, known as the Mecha Wiggler, has attached itself to the very top of New Donk City City Hall. After climbing to the top of the building, a boss battle will begin. In order to damage the Mecha Wiggler, Mario must capture a Sherm (the tank creature) and use its ability to shoot at all of the growing segments of the monster’s body. The boss will crawl across the face of the building firing large energy balls at Mario.

After all of the Mecha Wiggler’s glowing segments have been destroyed, it will enter an enraged state and charge directly at Mario. During this state, the boss is invulnerable to damage so dodge out of the way until he begins to slow down. The boss is also capable of teleporting after it’s enraged state. Afterwards, it’s body will begin to glow again.

Destroy all of the Mecha Wiggler’s segments twice, and the boss will be destroyed and reveal a Multi-Moon!

Kickstart the Festival

After the boss is destroyed, New Donk City will return to it’s bright and sunny self. New Donkers will return to the streets and Mayor Pauline is ready to celebrate the New Donk City Festival. However, she needs to assemble an all-star band to play the hit tune “Jump Up, Super Star!”. She can be found outside of City Hall, with the drummer not too far behind. Search for the rest of the members across the city.

Once the band has assembled, Mayor Pauline asks Mario to travel to the underground power plant to supply power for the festival. Remove the manhole covering the sewer entrance near City Hall. Clear the underground area and destroy the two Piranha Plants to restore the power. Mario will be teleported back to street level with the party in full swing! Enter the pipe in front of you and clear the 8-bit maps to discover another Multi-Moon.
